Pippin joined our family in March 2022 and has taken us on quite the journey since! He has earned twenty-six titles from the Canadian Kennel Club, the Canadian Detection Sport Association, Do More With Your Dog, the Extreme Versatility Dog Titling program, and Pawsio.

He had two very memorable breed wins during his Canadian Kennel Club Conformation career. Pip won a four point major from the classes when we were working on his Championship and then won a four point major as a Special when we were working on his Grand Championship. In September 2023, he was awarded Best of Opposite in Breed at the Canadian National Speciality for Dachshunds, which qualified him for Crufts 2024.

He loves doing Scent Work and he is proof that little dogs can do big things with making breed history in the sport! He is the first Miniature Dachshund (any variety) to have earned all three of the Canadian Kennel Club Scent Detection Instinct (SDIN), Scent Detection Novice (SDN), and Scent Detection Open (SDO) titles. He is also the first Miniature Dachshund (any variety) to earn a Canadian Detection Sport Association title (CDSA-AM, DS1-Jr, and DS1-Sr).

He is truly a special little dog who has endless joie de vivre and lives up to his Hobbit name in every way.
